Editorial Policy
This page explains how content is written, checked and corrected on Calgary Prayer Times.
What we publish
We publish prayer times, monthly timetables, mosque information, and short guides about prayer and Islamic life, for Calgary, Alberta, Canada only. We do not publish prayer times for other cities or countries.
How prayer times are handled
Prayer times are calculated, not written by hand. The timetable uses the ISNA method, with Fajr at 15 degrees and Isha at 15 degrees, shown in Calgary local time and adjusted for daylight saving time. The full method is explained on our How Prayer Times Are Calculated page.
We do not change a prayer time to match another website. If two sites show a different time, it is usually because they use a different calculation method. If you think a time on this site is wrong, please report it through the Contact Us page with the date, the prayer name, and the time you observed.
How guides are written
Guides are written to answer a specific question, for example what time Fajr is in Calgary, or how the timetable changes in summer. We do not copy text or prayer times from other websites. Where a guide refers to an outside source, it links to that source.
Product recommendations, where they appear, are based on research, not on hands-on testing. This is stated on the page where the recommendation appears. Affiliate links do not affect prayer times, mosque information, or guides. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.
Advertising
This site may show advertising. Advertising does not affect prayer times, mosque information, or the content of guides. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies are used.
Corrections
If we find a mistake, or a reader reports one, we correct it and note the correction where the mistake was. See our Correction Policy for how this works.

How to check a prayer time
If you want to check a time yourself, compare it with your local mosque’s timetable and with the calculation method explained on the How Prayer Times Are Calculated page. Times are for Calgary only and are shown in Calgary local time, adjusted for daylight saving time. If two sources show a different time, it is usually because they use different calculation methods, for example a different Fajr or Isha angle, a different Asr method, or a different set of mosque iqamah times. Report a time you think is wrong through the Contact Us page, with the date, the prayer name and the time you observed, as the prayer times section above explains.
